Balance Diagnostic is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of balance and dizziness disorders.  Recognizing that there was no facility available that provided comprehensive testing and treatment, Balance Diagnostic and it’s sister company Balance & Neurological Physical Therapy joined forces enabling patients and their physicians alternatives to conventional treatment.

Company History

Our company was formed in 2003 and was brought together to offer patients a clear alternative to balance disorders.  By bringing together the talent, expertise and vision of offering the best vestibular and neurological testing services available, we aim to improve the life of every patient we see. 

We intend to remove the guesswork normally associated with treating dizzy or balance disorders.  With accurate data, documented treatments based on proven methodologies, and state-of-the-art equipment, we focus solely on treating patients with imbalance symptoms.  Our team of professionals are some of the most qualified and recognized in the field of vestibular and neurological treatment. 

Dr. Paul Gidley, Medical Director

We are honored to have as our Medical Director the esteemed Dr. Paul Gidley.  His career has been dedicated to serving the needs of patients with disorders and diseases of the ear, balance and facial nerve function and in the surgical treatment of skull base tumors.  He currently is in practice with the Medical Center Ear, Nose and Throat Associates, who have been established over 50 years in the prestigious Houston Medical Center.  A recognized leader in the field of balance disorders and vestibular rehabilitation, Dr. Gidley is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Gidley was born in Houston and completed his medical school training and otolaryngology residency at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.  He completed his fellowship in otology-neurotology at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He holds a clinical appointment at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Mark Willis, CEO

Mr. Willis has a proven track record of business start-ups, venture capital and various CEO roles.  He has served as CEO in oil & gas drilling and exploration, telecom provider and an aircraft parts re-manufacturer.  In addition he has served on numerous boards including Chairman and CEO of a NASDAQ traded telecom company.  

As a venture capitalist, Mark has invested in and supported management in numerous start-up companies, which include medical device manufacturer and distributor, health care software company, and an Open MRI clinic.

Mr. Willis is responsible for assembling the team at Balance Diagnostic and providing the initial investment to launch the start-up.

Mark graduated from TCU with a major in Marketing and has held previous sales and marketing positions prior to launching Willis Group in 1997.
